If you've ever lost focus on the ball, stressed after missing a point, or became annoyed at your partner, you know that in that moment the joy of pickleball vanishes for a while.

We teach four ways to prevent these problems and to be observant and centered in all circumstances on the court. We call this "The Hummingbird Method".

Learning how to be observant and centered leads to better performance both physically and emotionally. We're bringing these hands-on skills to our recreational community and beyond.

What is the Hummingbird Method?

We're inspired by this tiny, mighty bird that weighs about the same as a dime. It's completely still, then flies with full focus and power to its destination. It's resilient, able to hover and fly backwards. It's wings beat over 3,000 per minute! It's heart beats about 1000 times per minute. They're fearless, and curious.

We've created the Hummingbird Method as part of our Pickleball for well being services. It includes:

  • how to achieve dynamic stillness,

  • inner drills to maintain focus,

  • yoga breath for purposeful motion, and

  • ways of staying relaxed in internal resets.
